Ibiza Opening Party Weekend 23rd to 26th May 2013 Whilst some venues, such as Blue Marlin and Santos Ibiza Coast Suites, have already hosted their own opening parties officially this weekend, 23rd May to 26th May is when Ibiza 2013 really starts - It's time to throw some shapes. The International Music Festival (IMS) takes place at the Ibiza Gran, opening with Fat Boy Slim playing at the stunning UNESCO heitage site Dalt Vila on 23rd May. Pacha opens on Wednesday 22nd May with their "Wisdom of the Glove" night, Thursday 23rd May is the "Insane" opening party , and Friday 24th May is the opening of "Pure Pacha". Avoid the Car Hire Bun Fight in Ibiza Hiring a car in Ibiza should be easy, right? If you have ever arrived at Ibiza Airport during the summer months you’ll know how challenging, frustrating and sometimes traumatic collecting your hire car can be – it really isn’t the way you envisaged your holiday starting. We’ve rented a car from just about every car hire Company on the island – and in most cases we have been very disappointed. The “multi nationals” such as Hertz, Europcar, Alamo & Avis are all “on Airport” with a desk in the arrivals hall…but picture the scene – the car rental office has 2 sides to their desk, one for customers picking up and one for customers dropping off... 2 queues, lots of hot and bothered customers, often only 1 member of staff and, unfortunately in our experience, a long wait.
